Yes, but. I’m pretty sure they don’t have to pay you for that time and in-person voting, especially in gerrymandered districts, can take a long time because of lines. It’s one of the methods of voter suppression to limit polling places in certain districts. So you could spend 6 hours waiting in line to vote.

There’s been a movement to try and make voting days federal holidays but so far no success.
