Partially true, but they also use that astronomical conviction rate to take more pleas than normal. If you’re going up against a 98 percent conviction rate, does it make sense (even if you’re innocent) to take on that 2 percent chance? If you never make it to trial and just plea, you don’t contribute to the conviction percentage. They use this to convince most people getting federal charges to take a plea deal.

Not defending Adams, wanna make that clear. I just see people mention the 98 percent conviction rate when it isn’t an accurate depiction of the situation. This is carefully picked information to make people feel okay forgoing a trial they have a right to

Well I had a seizure in the middle of front of house at my job, everybody was really nice about everything. The EMS that showed up were firefighters that let me take an Uber instead because I seemed pretty stable

Today was a good day. I had the day off from work and had therapy. Went for a few walks, did quite a bit of posting, wrote a lot. Got to hang out with my room mates more than usual today as well. I’m really happy with how I got to spend my day off.

Yeah, Mormons in the early days were very explicitly a full cult. Brigham Young tried to declare war on the US federal government to try to claim Utah as a Mormon state. Separate from that though, life is good. I have today off from work so I can stay up as late as I want this morning/night. I figured out how I’m going to do sublingual diy estradiol so that’s really cool and exciting. I also get my first paycheck from the new job this friday, and the paycheck from the WFH job on Thursday, so I’ll be not dead broke for the first time in quite a while.
