I’m curious why you are assuming that they are Republican donors. From everything we know, I would assume they are more closely related to the Dems. A lot of liberals come in here and try to associate Republicans with Israel, when the Dems are equally as devoted to supporting genocide, so I’m just wondering if that’s what you are doing.

dbz has always had an almost even split of weirdos and decent people. But they get a lot of influence from the lemm.ee and .world types, so a lot of threads on there go a bad direction. Also their political (and adjacent) communities are overrun by liberals. Their climate and ecology ones don’t allow any criticism of Democrats, for example.

I liked it when the progressive state legislature didn’t even bring a progressive single payer healthcare bill to a vote because they knew they would all have to publicly vote against it, progressively. That was very progressive.
