This explanation helps a lot. I was watching Maxamillion_Dood play online and it seemed like every other track they selected was random. And when it wasn’t he clearly didn’t know what lap they started on. Like the race would be over the first time they crossed the finish line. Everytime that happened Max was confused. Even to me as a viewer that seemed weird. I couldn’t tell what was going on either. First time I ever watched a Mario Kart game and had a hard time telling what was going on.

I recently started playing around with Reaper on Linux. It’s no different from it’s windows counterpart. You can use something like yabridge to use third party VSTs. All I had to do was point it to my VST folder and viola, almost all of them work. The only problem I have is that none of them work graphically. The sound works and they render just fine but for some reason clicking on a knob or button is waaaay off. For example in Pro-Q, if I put the mouse by the top of the plugin the frequency knob will highlight like the mouse is on top of knob. Nothing happens if the mouse is actually on top. This may be a yabridge issue. Their GitHub does say Wine versions greater than 9.22 don’t work. I’m on the latest Wine and haven’t fucked with different versions yet. If the fix is that simple then the experience is no different for me at least. Otherwise I just have to use the UI-less mode where Reaper turns the plugins into a series of sliders you can adjust instead.

Right now it’s the fucking act 3 intro battle. I spent 4 days trying Myrkul over and over again just to finally beat him only to have my first battle in act 3 seem impossible. I’ve been on a break for a week now. When I pick it up again I’m gonna blast through that fight so hard. The last thing I wanna do is back track all the way back to before the Myrkul fight. I just wanna get to the city then level up a bit.

Working my way through act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3. I feel like I’ve done just about everything in the Temple of Shar except the ::: spoiler spoiler fight against Balthazar. :::I tried it a couple times but got whooped a little too easily. Shadowheart is a beast though. She’s usually the last one alive when I try it. She can take out all the mobs by herself. It’s gonna take the whole squad to win the fight. I need to get my party up a level or two. Me being a defenseless bard is pretty tough. In all my attempts I’ve been sniped turn one with little recourse to get revived.

Then on top of that I’ve put time in AI Wars 2 and fighting games. AI Wars 2 is so cool. Complete information overload and a wonky UI but it’s got the addicting qualities I like in video games.

Tekken has been calling me as like a stress reliever. Then the Marvel announcement yesterday made me fire up Strive and SF6. I might put real effort into Strive this time. I’ve always wanted to but it’s never quite clicked like SF, and Tekken. And yes I installed DBFZ out of sheer joy yesterday. That rollback better be good.

This and the level of free speech that came with it is really needed right now. I don’t mean free speech in a go tell someone you disagree with to fuck their aunt type of way. I mean having real deep hard conversations about organizing and enabling movements. It feels like the Internet is scared of that because of monetization and content policies that have chopped the balls off of any form of organization or resistance. Like there’s so much shit I wish I could say but some mod policy kills it with a pinned post at the top of the comment section before I can even begin typing out my thoughts.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. We really are at a point where taxation without representation should be examined. There’s always the suggestion of a general strike to force them to function, but I think the easier and more destructive method would be to not pay taxes en masse. It would take organization to get the whole country to do it but there’s already a set date and way to disrupt the system that involves you doing nothing. Simply don’t file. What happens if nobody files their taxes? What happens if the system grinds to a halt because they chose to collect the most money from the lower tax brackets and let the big corpos run free? On the flip side what happens if everybody doesn’t file taxes and the system grinds on anyway? Then what’s the point of taxes? Wouldn’t that really expose the lack of representation?

I’m the oldest of three. My younger brother is an abusive drug addict currently serving time. I never want to see him or talk to him again. Any time we are in a room together, there’s a real risk of a physical fight breaking out. Years of constant fighting both verbally and physically have taken a huge mental toll on me. The day he dies will be one of my happiest.

My baby brother is alright. He straddled the same line drug wise but was nowhere near abusive like the other one. Hes got a reputation for being a sneaky lying thief, but he’s turned himself around. He’s more of a joy to be around.

This is key. A decade ago I did all three days at the New England Metal and Hardcore festival. Bodies fell from the sky on me. I got punched in the back of the head. I was almost knocked out on multiple occasions. I lost my glasses and was blind for most of the trip. What hurt the most was my feet. The pain was only alleviated when I was running around in the pit and walking back to my motel. I was in my early 20s then. I can’t imagine doing that now.

Oh absolutely. I’d take Biden over the youngest Republican any day. But to act like there’s been no decline at all is just denying the facts of being a human on this planet.

I’ve lost all of my grandparents. Most of them I lost at an age where I could comprehend what was going on. Death is the slowest process on earth. The actual passing is quick. It’s emotional and hard but it lasts for the blink of an eye. The decline can take years. To watch somebody age in those final 5-10 of their life is excruciating. It’s a drip feed of watching somebody act in ways where you can tell they’re just not themselves anymore.

Now with all that said I’m not saying Biden is knocking on deaths door, or that the process even started. What’s clear to everybody though is that he’s not the same guy as when he started his presidency. He’s studders a lot more. He’s lost a lot of hair. And he’s clearly slower than he was just three years ago.

Hes doing the most stressful job in the world. A job that accelerates the aging process. He’s already of an advanced age more so than any president in the history of this country. He’s approaching the line of being too old to non functional. So if you’re against him you’re gonna take that to the extreme and cry he’s dying right at this moment. But to everybody else he’s past the “he’s old” stage to “ehhh he’s really fucking old, should he be doing that stage?” That’s a decline.

My dad changed his shirt because he got wet and I saw him walking outside with another shirt on without knowing about the first one. I thought he was a clone for half a day until he asked me what’s wrong. That was a good laugh for him.

I figured. I just find it funny how there’s a plethora of people offering to fix your bug, but only one of them(at least the ones I’ve found so far) are licensed practitioners.
