If its so difficult you can’t cycle through it, could you even get a wheelchair through it?
Although sounds like this is more a one off single bridge rather than a general thing.

Yeah, tbh my concern with it more is the advertising rather than gambling its self. Should be treated like porn advertising.
I wouldn’t even be overly against putting alcohol in that same category, and I happily drink.

I can make a gallon of mead for the cost of the minimum bet on a single horse race.

Much cheaper to buy second hand storage drives in the hopes it has a loaded bitcoin wallet, and comparable odds.

That does surprise me, I thought it would be one of those tiny tax haven countries.

500 a year on gambling is quite a lot. Though also not a crippling amount. If you really enjoy it then whatever, go throw away your money.
I spend money on arguably stupid things too. Got 5 games on GOG for £55 the other day.
You don’t even need to cause any damage or even leave a fingerprint and they get so angry. Its kinda funny.
I see so much road rage, but usually from extended family so I try not to start an argument that will lead to someone storming off in a strop. I find it funny that an adult can get so angry, but it upsets my partner.
Mirrors are so breakable…
Raises a good point. So we should destroy those cars to make way for trams.

There might not be a long run if google can dictate web development enough in the short term to essentially kill off all competition.

Fair point but are you seriously saying you prefer the direction Google is heading?

Not saying it doesn’t exist. But its easy to go through live without ever giving a shit about it. Been working for me so far even when deeply below poverty wages. Now I am between UK minimum and median wage so shits easy.

Interesting, not rented in Scotland but in England I just had to sign on some toilet paper and hand over a deposit in cash.

Well more competition is good and we really need more alternative platforms. Can they make a browser as an alternative to chrome… Or push Firefox?

Europe exists with neither of these problems. You can get a credit card if you want but loads of people don’t. From a low effort search it actually looks like most people in almost all European countries don’t have one. Few exceptions like Norway but even there you have a very significant minority without one.
UK here and I bought a house without ever having a credit card or worrying or knowing what a credit rating is.
It can ask, but then don’t be surprised when many people don’t do that or some take the road instead.
How much water does your toilet use each flush? There are far better things to concern yourself with than reusing pasta water to make coffee.
Currently looking at making use of greywater to water the garden. The amount of water that would normally be wasted should be plenty to even keep grass happy. Not that I care about the grass going brown. But that should give some idea as to how much water there is to use.
Marathon plus touring tyres is what I use and it isn’t far off solid rubber blocks. But with the amount of broken glass on my commute its probably worth it.
Ohh yes, +1 vote for the trams of death.
