  • I was hoping this was the tl;dr but it wasn’t. They just made a typical statement to avoid being caught up in it.

Here’s my attempt at a tl;Dr if anyone wants fewer sentences.

Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Marine Institute, referred to as MUN in the article announced partnering with oceangate at some point. Somehow with a university partnership and one of the students on board the support ship that goes with the ghetto-sub nobody caught any of the glaring issues that led to it’s inevitable implosion and the loss of a mediocre gamepad. Some have issue with whether there is any educational or scientific merit in a university partnering with a business centered around touring billionaires around an underwater gravesite. None were on board, but there was the possibility that students could have gone in the sub if there was an opening.

  • I did fallout 4 and it worked. Skyrim should be mostly the same and most Bethesda games have packs that claim better looks and performance. I used steam tinker launch to install mod organizer 2 to the prefix. You could do vortex the same way. I also toggled case sensitivity for the prefix folder in case of weird mod behavior, probably not necessary but it can only be toggled on empty folders, so before install or delete and reinstall, and if you haven’t used the btrfs mod.

  • I’m pretty sure this is just a problem with Bluetooth capabilities for headsets in general. If you lower the sound quality to phone mode it should let you enable the microphone. I think phones just automatically switch modes when you go into a call but computers you have to do it manually. Some Linux distro configurations don’t prevent you from choosing audio settings that don’t work and I suspect steam deck os is one of them.

  • This is what I would do, hopefully it will work for you

Back up the save manually or with ludusavi from discover in case steam cloud shits the bed,

remove the compatdata but double check the game id number (any of steamdb, steam store, protondb, get id from web address):

    rm -r /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1172620

(Or just navigate to the location and delete it with the file manager)

Set game to either to proton ge or just default if it’s verified,

    launch game.

I find this works whenever I screw up a game I’m modding or editing files of.

Edit: if that doesn’t work try disabling steam cloud, backing up save, and deleting the non-backup version in case the save is broken and the game can’t handle it.
