I understand this sentiment but, as an American, if you’ve been alive for 3 decades plus, you’ve witnessed immense stupidity on behalf of America and Americans, electing Trump again was just the logical conclusion.

I’m probably? a couple decades older than you, it’s always been this way. My entire life has been Americans convincing other Americans to fuck their own country and futures for culture war bullshit, petty vengeances, and unmitigated greed on the promise that they’ll get theirs too only to be left empty handed and worse off than before. Then they vote the same way again while complaining that all the problems are the same. The joke about the definition of insanity applies.

It’s a lot of the same people who voted Trump in, so that shit tracks.
