I’ll look into that. Thanks!

What interaction is that? I’m unfamiliar.
Could be worth looking into Misophonia. Basically it’s an irrational anger response to specific noises that vary person to person. I don’t know enough about it to say how it can be dealt with, but it may be something you could find a specialist for.
I pitty the poor, volunteer admins facing clueless users dealing with downtime. “You said it’d only be an hour! WHAT’S GOING ON!?!?”
Boy, I sure hope Freddy is careful. Sounds like they’re in danger /s
But more seriously, Lemmy is developed by like, 5 people, most of whom are wholely anti-capitalist. I’d be quite surprised if any of the official devs jumped ship.
I simply can’t pick a single favorite artwork. There’s just too much amazing work. As for style, probably the Mystical Archive series. They’re so great.
They seriously nailed it with the storybook styles as the first iteration in Eldraine, and that was probably my favorite. The stark contrast and minimalistic colors are just really nice.
It also feels like they’re loosening up on the “official” artwork and letting in more and more interesting stuff like that as time goes on, which is awesome.
That was my thought. Impossible to say in just a few months, of course, but here’s hoping it’s legit!
Not sure if I just lack the morbid curiosity most people have, but I never understood the draw to look for those things. I’d hear about them and just put it on a mental list to never touch.
I got the Gulikit KingKong 2 Pro a little while ago for the hall-effect joysticks and am liking it so far. Haven’t used it a bunch with my Deck, but when I did, it worked well. It’s $60, though, so maybe too pricey.
I’m assuming this is more a comment on the modern news cycle than about Reddit. Hell, most things barely last a few days outside of their immediate time frame, let alone a week.
Some things just completely skew your home page with just a single viewing. I am very careful with my watch history, only watching one off stuff from other sites in a private window. That seems to work well.
Go into the viewing history and wipe it. Then maybe view some more normal stuff to set it on a good track. That should give a good reset for her, though it wouldn’t stop her from just looking it up again, of course.
I find your hyperbolic outrage over nothing “distasteful” and “disrespectful”. Go to another instance if you feel so strongly instead of trying to rile up some sort of revolt against the admins as if that would accomplish anything.
You’re linking your own post about assuming what the admins in .world have done as if it’s definitive proof. After a definitive statement is made one way or the other, then you can start freaking out. Until then, just stop it with the conspiratorial garbage.
Those are findings specifically from industrial areas, and specifies that it is levels over 75db that are dangerous for the most sensitive individuals (younger people). I’m not sure what the db exposure for a service on one’s yard would be, but I doubt it’s on the same level as working in a factory.
I couldn’t leave my app in the same spot, otherwise I’d keep opening it (or trying to open it, after tomorrow) out of habit.
Would be nice if wsj wasn’t paywalling the article -_-
Does nobody get that the original isn’t literally fine with burning alive? I’ve seen multiple “fixes” that are just needlessly spelling out the subtext.
