Very cool update. It seems like a real mountain you guys are having to climb with this DE, however. Do you guys think you’ll have something even remotely usable by the average person in the next year or two? It just seems like a lot of work, as cool as it is.
The final cost of this device is a bit of a hard ask in a world where we have a lot of Android and Linux handhelds out there. It seems like this would only be a good idea for users who just really want a raspberry pi as their emulation device for the familiarity.
It’s depressing how bad Android tablets are right now. Both iPad and Android tablets suck to repair and take a lot of user control out of your hands, but iPads are ridiculously more powerful, have better “official” software support in the world, and age a lot more gracefully.
I’m increasingly tempted to drop my Android tablet altogether - the only thing stopping me at this point is the support for “non-official” apps distributed outside of the play store that I enjoy so much.
