I’m doing vegetarian week (and could definitely use recipes if anyone can help!)
Hello from Lemmy! Can you see this or do I need to @ you?
And we see the post, but I don’t think it has a title.
Eta: @uhrbaan@mastodon.social?
Edit2: it’s a title now!
That sounds like it punishes small instances… a lot. What would starting an instance look like? Do you start with a huge list of servers to inspect and approve?
Tbh I’m struggling to imagine what this would look like in something like Lemmy. It seems to be describing an extreme form of setting your account to private, but this only really makes sense in a situation where you have followers who are friends and family. How would I decide who to “approve”?
Oh you’re right, I read that as 490,000, sorry. Thanks
OK, but what arithmetic?
Where did those numbers come from? MAU/users ismore like 25%?
I think these are great rules, so long as they never have any teeth.
That’s really the entire article. “Yeah, for now its run by hippies who care about privacy and run servers out of a sense of civic duty, but we can fix that”
I mean, they’re doable, but they’re cultural goals, not technical ones.
I’d argue that really all of these are on a spectrum between the two though.
You know, I was starting to think they were milking the resolution for Tendi’s arc. Like, we found out 4 episodes ago, then they brought it up last episode, now it’s a plot point again; you can’t stretch out the climax that long.
But it turns out we’re still in the rising action, this was just a stepping stone. I love this show.
After she was unconscious.
That was good and wholesome… they’re going to hurt us in the next episode aren’t they?
ETA: also, no ships were stolen this time. Thoughts?
For me it was funny, but only because it kept subverting my expectations. Everytime they gave the “2 hours later” board, I expected it to me chaos, but it was just sweet. And they got me every time.

Has being told to come up with higher effort ideas ever helped you to improve your work? It’s never helped me, I’ve only ever been frustrated by it

It may or may not be valid criticism, but it’s certainly not constructive. How is OP supposed to change based off your comment? Do you really think they learned something from it?
…but it wasn’t constructive?
TOS is fun to watch in an ironic, cult classic, campy, laughing-at-it-not-with-it way. TNG was the first actually good star trek.
That’s OPs summary, but thumbing through the speakers it looks like it has more of an ethical AI angle if anything
