Now all we need is Zelda to be a playable character. Nintendo! Give us Legend of Link!
Limit it to corporations of a certain size then. It’s not people like your friend that are doing the bulk of the damage. It’s large corporations buying up entire neighborhoods to rent them forever.
@slimerancher@lemmy.world I’m officially endorsing this one and pinning it.
Sorry, the best they can do is a New Super Switch U Nano 2/3DS
Switch 2 is a clear sign to consumers that it’s not a Switch, which is the issue they had with the WiiU. I think Nintendo will be too scared to risk a repeat of that honestly. I could see a Nano getting a name like Switch Pocket or something similar. But Switch Next is a bigger risk
I can see them diverging again with a beefy next get one (aka switch 2), but then also introducing a nano switch. The only issue I think is if they are both introduced at the same time and only the switch 2 can play switch 2 games (and is backwards compatible) and the nano could only play switch 1 games, then consumers will be confused.
Are these consequences in the room with us right now?
You’ll have to take up golfing then, because there is no way he won’t be buried in his golf course for tax reasons. Also to charge an entry fee to all the saps willing to worship and pray to him
The rates of gun ownership between Switzerland and the USA are vastly different. USA ownership is almost double that of Switzerland.

I’m not denying your take that it’s a multifaceted issue, but equating the gun ownership between Switzerland and the USA doesn’t paint an accurate picture.
I’m really happy for you both!
If you don’t call you’ll continue to grow distant. Be the change you want to see. Reconnect. Life is too short.
yeah, there’s nothing to argue here. These are scientific definitions of the two terms. A positive feedback loop can be negative in terms of consequences, but it doesn’t change the fact that the loop is defined as a positive feedback loop.
The words “positive” or “negative” in terms of the loop definition do not refer to “good” or “bad”, but rather the mathematical definitions of “additive/multiplicative” or “subtractive/divisive”. A positive feedback loop is an additive or multiplicative function whereby inputs increase outputs which increase inputs which increase outputs.
A classic example is a snowball rolling down a hill that grows in size and gains speed. Whether or not the snowball grows big enough and rolls fast enough to annihilate the school at the bottom of the hill, it doesn’t change the fact that by definition the feedback loop that is generating a larger and larger and faster and faster snowball is defined as positive.
An example of a negative feedback loop could be you getting sick. The input being viral or bacterial particles enter your body, the output is your body temperature increases, which kills the pathogens thereby decreasing the input. The decrease in pathogens then signals to your body that the infection is receding, and you body temperature returns to normal (decreased output). You healing from a sickness is a positive (good) thing, but the feedback loop that did it, is a negative one.
I agree completely but just so you know, it’s a positive feedback loop even if the outcome is negative.
A positive feedback loop is one where the input creates an output that then increases the input further, which in turn further increases the output.
A negative feedback loop is one where the input creates an output that then lessens the input, which in turn decreases the output.
Shrinking middle class begets ignorance. Political forces capitalize on ignorance to misinform and manipulate the masses to elect people and enact policies that are not in their best interest. Doing so further erodes the middle class and decreases education, begetting further ignorance, misinformation, and political extremism. Positive feedback loop.
(Sorry if this was pedantic but it reminded me of a very specific learning moment I had with an old science teacher of mine about this exact distinction)
Oh haha! Didn’t notice the username. Thanks again!
I have had success merging my communities. I ran PS5 and then was given ownership of PlayStation. I posted locked vote posts in each community with two comments. One for yes, one for no. Only upvotes on the comments were counted as some instances disable downvotes. Each community overwhelming voted to merge under c/PlayStation. Since then it has been smooth sailing.
I left the previous community open (with a pinned post explaining the merge) for people to use if they want to, but so far everyone migrated no problem.
Currently I am only subbed here since I don’t want double posts, but I am for the merge and will easily just sub to the new community.
Nice! The low abxy is tricky. Personally I don’t use mine much, but it’s such a unique design that when they were discontinuing it I had to pick one up.
You can try and find an old steam controller maybe? I have one when they went on sale for dirt cheap before they discontinued manufacturing. The trackpads do have feedback like the deck but not not as good (it was the precursor after all)
It’s either dead or there’s no need to update it because there isn’t real competition in that space. I’m just wondering what they are going to do with this new mobile chip platform once the switch 2 is released. I doubt they only ever use it in the switch 2. I’m guessing they would want to release it (or a version of it) in some other hardware.
Woah woah woah there buddy. I’ve only placed the requisite amount of peer pressure required to ensure long lasting managed democracy throughout the galaxy.
