Now THAT’S something we can regulate - politicians
Now THAT’S something we can regulate - politicians
I’m sure the “proof of wealth” kinda went like:
Ah, so you can afford pants and shirt?
Well how about a fancier shirt?
Yes? Well how about a jaunty hat.
Yes? What about fancy shoe buckles?
Yes? How about stockings?
Yes? Well now I’ve got a wig beneath my jaunty hat.
That too? How about makeup and perfume then!
Maybe an unnecessary cane. A gold chain sticking out so you know I have a nice watch hidden away. My fanciest kerchief sticking out of my pocket. See how white?
Today, we just post our expensive possessions on social media so you don’t have to wear your proof.
To be fair he only gutted social programs and only gave some of it to the wealthy. The rest went to the military budget. Federal spending ballooned under Reagan!
I think it’s more about the right leaning people who vote less when they see their ring wing nut guy actively working against their interest, and voting more when they’re riled up. An opportunity to vilify Biden is voters to the booths. Getting them angry at the left is their only strategy
Unfortunately, the aid would help people and save lives. Then, Texas leaders would accuse Biden of wasting taxpayer money, call it a political stunt and photo op, say “we didn’t need the government’s help, we are Texas!”.
And then there’s no way to convince Texans that people would have died without their help. Biden would be vilified for helping. And as much as you might think, “he still needed to do it because helping the people is more important than optics”, the long term result is losing votes, losing power, then never being able to help ever again.
I used to think nuance was needed for realism to help me believe it. But the real villains of the world are just pure absolute evil sick bastards that want to take everything for themselves just for the sake of it.
MAYBE there’s some nuance of needing to feel like winners or something. Live up to their father’s name. But I have zero pity for them. Fuck that narcissist rapist Donald Trump.
Thanks for coming I guess
Then tie up any opposition in the court system for as many years as you need
Makes sense and sounds so nice
We locally choose our very best to go represent our interests. And it would be in our interest to have an experienced, educated, honest judge. So one would think that our politician is spending time researching, discussing, and vetting along with the other best minds from around the country.
But we never get to choose our best. Or at least our best is outnumbered and voiceless.
I guess another warning is to keep your eye on public education too
Add in any parties or flights with Epstein
Spokesperson has to respond immediately. Paperwork and analysis people take a bit more time.
I would be happy enough if he gets sentenced to prison but is suddenly “too ill” or, you know, his bone spurs or whatever, and gets house arrest. Whatever as long as he doesn’t rally or run for president anymore
If we legalize corruption, it may lead to mass corruption, but we can at least see the corruption a little better?
“You guys should riot about this. I’m busy retweeting how there should be a riot, but you should go riot. I’ll tweet about it if you do”
I have been noticing and pondering this as well.
My only thought is that perhaps, although it was shamed for a while, the people who used it at it’s peak have continued to use it in private settings. But now their children are of age that they are comfortable spouting it on the Internet and in person, thus bringing out anyone else who wants to say it, whether just to make people uncomfortable or they grew up with it, or otherwise don’t know any better or haven’t learned empathy
To be clear, despite the slightly misleading title, the representative himself said it correctly. He said that Trump allegedly committed the crime “in order to avoid a sex scandal”
Either way, seatbelts should always be buckled while seated. The seatbelt sign turned off doesn’t negate that.
I’m betting on libertarian
