  • the project did include lots of unnecessary excesses, weird decisions that deviated from the will of the masses and eventually alienated themselves from the local communities, so gonzalo is hard to defend as a communist.

But I’d at least give him credit for the effort. despite everything, they did legitimately become a massive threat to capital, which is more than I can say of any current western leftist projects.

    shrug-outta-hecks

  • Gonsalo. Pretty controversial, but led a pretty impressive attempt at revolution in Peru where they managed to take over like 70% of the country until the police discovered gonzalo was the only person in Peru who used a specific medicine, so they rummaged people’s bins until they found gonzalo’s trash and arrested him and squashed the movement.

An embarrassing end to a promising project.

  • This is really the point of the full throated, frantic support for turning Ukraine into a permanent slaughterhouse.

The European bourgeoisie project has spent the entire post-soviet era stripping away any and all public services in favour of their own class protection in the form of mass surveillance, military industry and working class deprivation.

The Ukraine conflict is the final nail in the coffin for the state as a public good for the common people.

By frothing at the mouth and screaming about the “illegal full-scale hybrid warfare invasion” against Ukraine, the bourgeoisie can privatise and shut down whatever remains of the European welfare states, and funnel all profit to the ruling class.

The future of the state is a hostile entity, purely punitive, held together by omnipresent surveillance and policing and militarism against anyone with even the mildest criticism against their imperial ambitions through Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan.

  • I’ve been teaching myself german lately, and I’m able to read news articles with a little bit of assistance.

The more I learn about Germany, the stranger it gets. What do you mean you can only sing one third of your anthem because the first part is associated with literal nazism and the second part is insanely chauvinistic?

Also, the german national anthem is so fucking bad, even Frederick Nietzsche called it "pure idiocy!’

What’s the point of keeping the song when it sucks so fucking bad? You’re telling me the country that defined western musical traditions don’t have a better alternative than a geographically outdated nazi drinking song?

What the fuck is going on Germany?
