Sometimes I am a saintly woman-child abomination, other times I’m that fatalistic Caladanian twink king

  • Yeah the sealion is definitely barking, here’s the same person in another comment:

I’ve had my niece say she was bullied in school for not wanting to claim she was bisexual or something - and this is in a pretty deep-red area. I’m sorry, but 50% of the population being LGBT is not anywhere close to reality, and is a pretty good sign that these kids are being indoctrinated. I understand the need to be understanding for people who are this way, but the ‘inclusion’ needle swung so far the other direction that it’s now convincing children that they are gay/bi/trans when they aren’t. Additionally, I’ve raised my children to take advantage of this and claim they are even if they aren’t - for the purposes of scholarships and other benefits; since being in one of these minorities will see you with better acceptance into college https://sh.itjust.works/comment/12746064

True, but postulating heteros can’t wear midriffs is a super weird take. It does come off as homophobic whether or not that was the intention.

edit: Now that I’ve thought about it, every male character I’ve seen in a movie dressed like this was portrayed as heterosexual. So croptops are actually a hetero fashion trend. You should embrace it!

  • People are religiously and/or ethnically Jewish. Republicans are a political party (are you implying being a Republican is a religion or an ethnic group??) Seeing Jewish people as greedy is a stereotype based on racism. Republicans vote for policies and platforms that are bigoted. This is crazy that you think these two things are the same, or are even comparable at all.

  • My partner passes as a straight cis white dude and works in finance and you are right, within the first interaction of meeting a bigot they will open their mouths and out themselves. And the worst part is, they nearly always phrase it as an in-joke, or an in-thing, like they are figuratively ‘wink wink nudge nudging’ him and it drives him fucking crazy that they just assume he’s one of them and will nod or laugh along. Instead, he pulls a reverse uno and shames them, very politely, for various super neutral reasons: like not being professional and staying on topic, or for being a hr violation, etc. He’s found the less progressive, more business-neutral language really fucks them up, they get super embarrassed
