  • An I’m a 1980 kid… So gen x or millennial or Oregon trail gen or what ever you want to call it…

I’m in the south… so red a Democrat doesn’t even run majority of the time…

I have done nothing but move further left as I’ve gotten older.

Started out paying attention to politics when I was 16 and those “demoncrats” were going to ruin the nation… Then I realized all they really wanted to do was enable anyone to get married, have legal weed, make sure my retired parents have health care and not to mention make sure kids don’t go into debt for school lunches…

One side wants to hate drag queens / kill gay or transgender folks/ force women to bear any dependant they are inflicted with

And the other wants gram gram to get her insulin for $35 / let folks be free to choose

    Like… What?

  • Man my dad a Vietnam vet… Told me that jan6 was a shame and that they killed “that poor woman” trying to get through a door.

I was like… Dafuq? What about protecting elected officials lives? What about protecting the constitution? What about that whole “foreign and domestic” deal?

I told him… I watched the live stream video of her being given a warning and a lawful order to stop and to remove herself from the area. She didn’t. She got shot.

She wasn’t a patriot… she was a criminal who fucked around and found out.

Anything telling you otherwise is propaganda.

Crazy the spin they are trying to put on Jan6. :/

  • Idk man… I feel like if I pay ~$40 for a digital item… I should have the same rights with it as the physical copy.
If a digital market place sells me the item… I should be able to return to that market place and redownload it. Basically once they sell it… they are obligated to host the files.

Or as an alternative … I get 1 download of a drm free product. And everything after that is rebuy.

This sell it for $40 and then it’s gone off your game system or out of your account I think is shit business practice.

Streaming services can do what they want with their content… because you’re paying x money a month to access it… that’s the assumed behavior. Digital products advertised as “buy it on digital” should behave as items purchased and owned by the end user.

Maybe that’s just me being pro consumer…

  • This saying / idea sprang out of folks losing content they “bought” via online platforms.

Basically the letter from Sony(?) Said that due to licensing rights content was going to be removed from their servers… and that the items you bought were no longer available.

So… essentially nothing on a digital platform is ever purchased . It’s just leased until the platform owners decide to alter the deal. And such, if you can’t actually buy it… Are you actually pirating it?
