Well, Iran and their allies’ response may happen sometime this week and apparently they aren’t talking to the US in order to negotiate how and where they will hit Israel (and Shoigu arrived in Tehran rather auspiciously), the Bangladeshi government just fell, F16s have been given to Ukraine, there are fascist riots in the UK, and Japan just had its worst stock fall since 1987 and seems to be taking several other countries/corporations with it. I don’t really know where to look right now.

While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

I suspect the main reason Israel don’t women in combat roles is because it would basically result in the end of Israel politically. Male soldiers getting captured and killed will be seen as martyrs or resilient because he’s a big warrior male, but female soldiers getting killed or captured will make everyone melt down because they’re smol beans who need protection
hmm from reading some Cradle articles on the Hannibal response I seem to remember some female tank crew members and/or helicopter pilots, but maybe they’re just not in infantry roles
Israeli news reported that there were ‘demands’ from female soldiers to be on the front lines, but military command said they’re short on tanks and ammo and can’t train them lol
You’re right, I remember seeing a video of a woman in an IOF tank crew talking about how they were ordered to open fire with the main cannon into the settlement houses filled with settlers on October 7th.

which i’m not totally convinced would be bad for PR, ‘violated womanhood’ & saying every female casualty was desecrated could make the israeli public revenge-y more than upset with the government, but it’s hard to say with a reactionary public & a reactionary government which was too sexist to have their female troops fully trained in the first place
