Nazis staged an anti immigration rally in Narrm/Melbourne last Saturday. This was following anti immigration rhetoric from our opposition leader and open fascist Peter Dutton, who said intaking migrants would make the housing crisis worse.
The day started with them arriving 3 hours early to perform a weight lifting stunt on a very public set of steps. Antifa pushed them off the steps, causing pigs to pepper spray fash and antifa, so they could escort the Nazis to a safer position, surrounded by a police line.
After several scuffles with cops and the 20 Nazis surrounded by over a thousand people, police tried to escort them out, but were quickly overrun. This all happened before their rally was scheduled to start at midday, meaning they went home sprayed, bashed, tyres slashed and couldn’t even make it to the start of their rally.
With less than 24hrs notice, this counter rally was staged by several antifascist groups, the Renters and Housing Union and the Campaign Against Racism and Fascism
