Hey guys, I’m planning to have a trip to Japan on the 19th.

Are there any apps that you would recommend installing?

I would prefer FOSS apps, but non-FOSS are also OK.

As for now, I’m looking for: currency converter, two clocks widget app (Japan+home), weather app, and any other suggestions. TY.

The Line messaging app is ridiculously popular in Japan, to the point where people sometimes are genuinely confused by someone trying to explain that they don’t have Line on their phone:
