Still can’t believe that a fucking nut job was spouting that, according to scripture, a standing Canadian politician should be “dealt with”.

Jesse brown has either given into the grift or has gone so far off his rocker to nut job land to be regurgitating some of the most dumb shit.

But the fact that he’s done conventions with Ben-fucking-Shapiro (white supremacist and ultra-grifter), I can’t help but think it’s about the grift for Jesse now.

My guy, did we read the same article? It references scripture a ton.

Imagine if a priest (in Canada, the US is fucked) or a sheikh said that according to the bible/Quran we need to deal with Mark Carney/Salma Zahid for endangering Christians or Muslims. The RCMP would and should be all over it.

It’s titled: “Jewish law tells us how to deal with Avi Lewis”

The biblical story of Korach presents a stark lesson in how Jews think about internal dissent, when it escalates to become a threat to the continued viability of the community itself. It is indeed an extreme consequence for eliciting communal harm, but then Jewish law is fairly clear on the subject: when a Jew endangers the Jewish community, the community is obligated to stop them.

In Leviticus, God orders the Jewish people, “You shall not hate your kinsfolk in your heart,” …None of this applies, however, when a Jewish person presents a clear and present danger to the Jewish community. When that happens, Jewish thought is much more forceful: you must prevent the perpetrator from causing harm.

Jewish law developed two character sketches to describe such scenarios. The first is known as a “mosar” — a Jewish person who informs to oppressive authorities, potentially leading to the imprisonment, torture or death of community members. The second, called a “rodef,” refers to a Jew who is actively pursuing another with the intent to harm or kill them. In both scenarios, the law is clear that a Jew is duty-bound to step in.

Judaism has a robust history of debate, codified by the Mishnah, Talmud and centuries of textual disagreement.

True my bad I read it a few weeks ago and only really remembered the calls for violence with lack of ideological consistency. He cherry picked lots that I erased from my memory true thanks for that correction.

Are you sure? 15 million is about half Canada’s population. Does that number include all Post Media properties?

Yes but 15/30 is not far off from 15/40

          15/30 = 50% 15/40 = 3/8 = 3*12.5% = 37.5%

          (50-37.5)/37.5 = 33% (over estimate by a third).

It’s easier to take 30 instead of 40. And not all 40 million are adults, so just adults is lower than 40.

I’m not sure where the number comes from, but it could be plausible if you factor in readers outside of Canada too
