    People like BOGO offers, and maybe Luigi’s lawyers feel a jury finding him guilty on prowling would be more inclined to work itself from a hung jury toward a conviction?

    Pleading that now gets it a little bit out of the way. Not entirely, but it lessens the effect later, and it makes the state focus on other behaviors and evidence. No need to relitigate the prowling aspect, right?

      NY law will have the state case dropped entirely under their double jeopardy laws, because both sets of charges stem from the same action.
