Yesterday, I made bad decisions. I may make bad decisions tomorrow. But today, I made a decision that was slightly better than it could have been, and I’m calling that a win.
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
I have a bad habit of being too perfectionist, it’s affecting my productivity and many other things actually.
I also heard that procrastination is linked with perfectionism
The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
What was the decision?
@shinigamiookamiryuu Instead of ordering the Meat Lover’s Skillet Special, which is hash browns, ham, sausage, bacon, two large eggs, sausage gravy, and your choice of pancakes or toast; I chose a half-order of biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon.
Give yourself some credit. That’s at least half as bad, so your decision was twice as good.
I’m an accountant. and I approve of this math.
What my mind conjours up when I hear biscuits and gravy
All any of us can do, really. Awareness and perspective are often hard to come by, so congrats on that!
Recognizing these positives goes a long way toward accepting and loving oneself. I’m happy for you.
I try to make one consciously good decision a day. I find that it sometimes snowballs into good things.
Good… enough! :-D
Remember it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making the next right decision. So long as you do that, you’ll be fine.
