The U.S. Navy is searching for a crew member after a helicopter made an “emergency water landing” in the Arabian Sea, Navy officials said.
The MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, which is assigned to the USS George H.W. Bush, landed around 3:30 am ET on July 1, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/U.S. 5th Fleet said on social media. Three of the helicopter’s crew were found and are in stable condition aboard the aircraft carrier.
Uncle Sam working really hard on his passive language there “Emergency water landing” means crashed into the sea.
These folks really need to figure out how to do aviation properly. Maybe they can ask the Chinese for some pointers
Helicopters legitimately just kinda do this. They’re an affront to God and do not belong in the sky
Also, helicopter jobs go to the pilots/aviators that did the worst in training. Bottom Gun, if you will
Helicopter engineers be like: “this thing can fit so many single points of failure”
I do love the saying they use on WTYP
“30000 moving parts looking for somewhere to crash”
