Yeah and like uh not to be like “stone me to death” but I don’t think wanting to show leniency to the perpetrators here is necessarily out of “sexual assault is okay and we hate women here” and more out of “they’re literally children, there is no good course of action here”
that being said holy shit they’re being way too fucking lenient. 10 year restraining order? Try lifetime, what the fuck? That’s not even about punishing them, it’s about protecting their victims, why should it ever expire. Less than two years, three years rehab, not even in a juvenile prison? Oh my fucking god. They should be in custody in rehab at least until they’re adults and then at least a few years probation after that.
I really hope i’m wrong but this is such a slap on the wrist I fully expect them to do it again if not worse
There also needs to be a major investigation into the parents and their online activity. This is definitely a case of neglect that they somehow allowed their children to get away with this multiple times and post about it online.
You do have a responsibility for your child’s actions as a parent, and letting their behavior become this depraved at this young of an age is terrifying.
