Kia is recalling roughly a quarter-million K5 sedans with a defect that could lead their fuel tanks to melt, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says.

    At first I thought this was the result of the plastics composition reacting to the gasoline.

    The fact that’s its because the tanks expand from pressurized gas until they hit a heated component? Jesus, I’m never buying a fucking kia.

    Bad enough they thought foregoing immobilizers was in any way reasonable. They’ve been making fucking motorcycles with them since the 90s…
