I did buy over $700 of it in 2012 with the intent to use it to buy drugs. But I lost the passkey to my wallet (see: drugs). It’s still there in that wallet, in the tens of thousands of dollars or something, maybe more but it’s too painful to do the math. I can still remember the first half of the pass phrase too. If I remembered the second half of the passphrase it would change my life in a bigger way than anything else ever has (yay for being below poverty-line level of poor). It’s gone, though. There is no way I will ever remember it. I console myself by telling myself that if I hadn’t lost the password, it just would have gone to drugs, which is true. I’m still haunted by it anyway.

Aw hell no. Can you get a nerd to help you run an automated brute force on it?
It sounds like you probably have enough info about the key to reduce the complexity and time to crack the key significantly.
I’ve lost bitcoin too but it’s gone gone.
How many digits are the missing part of the key?
