Canadians traveling abroad can be exposed to measles in a wide range of countries where the disease is still endemic or experiencing outbreaks. Countries specifically identified by public health agencies as having significant measles outbreaks include those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, as well as other parts of the Americas.
Specific countries mentioned in reports include:
-India and Pakistan
-Mexico
-United States (due to local outbreaks in under-vaccinated communities)
