    I’m writing to express my concern and distinct objection to the leaked “digital omnibus” draft. Under the guise of de-bureaucratisation, it aims to achieve sweeping changes to the detriment of fundamental human rights and privacy law. The law enables the following dangerous elements:

    1. Remote access to personal data on PCs or smart phones without consent of the owner.
    2. Benefiting anti-competitive digital gatekeepers currently regulated under EU law, to the detriment of EU companies.
    3. Removing protections for sensitive personal data such as sexuality, health data and political views.

    This extremist draft threatens the core principles of the EU. I urge to vote against it. This proposal will open the floodgates for dangerous behaviours not only against private citizens but for people of public interest as well and if ratified, it will become a tool to the direct benefit of Russia’s hybrid war.
