Jeremy Renner is addressing Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou's claims that he sent her 'unwanted/unsolicited' sexual images of himself via social media and threatened to call ICE on her. The actor's attorney Marty Singer tells PEOPLE in a statement that Zhou's allegations are 'false, outrageous and highly defamatory.'
As more details comes out the more Zhou’s wording sounds like a jilted lover who is overreacting to a failed relationship.
Singer knows that he will potentially need to prove evidence if this goes to court, so yeah it seems more and more like a jilted lover. That isn’t to say Renner didn’t do anything wrong, but that it is very likely that it wasn’t anything like the accusations being thrown around.
