It starts off with dick pics

Specifically, Zhou claimed that she “received 2 photos of Jeremy Renner and then a string of unwanted/unsolicited pornographic images of himself.” According to Zhou, this occurred “in June 2025.”

“He’s done this for years,” one Hollywood insider insisted to gossip columnist Rob Shuter. “Every new woman gets the same treatment — flirty texts, then out of nowhere, the photos start coming. He thinks it’s charming.”

    Then denial

Renner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, blasted the allegations as “false, outrageous and highly defamatory.” He told PEOPLE that Renner met Zhou once in July, when she interviewed him for the documentary at a hotel in Reno, Nev. They shared a “brief consensual encounter,” and then met again in August, Singer said, adding that the actor has not spoken to Zhou in over a month.

But not before it had turned violent

I was discussing about the doc logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry yelling for two hours. I had to location-share to my team, my parents and Disney colleagues in case something happens to me they know where I am. I had to lock myself in a room to be safe praying he would not come into the room at night as he was really angry. I did not say a word, I was so scared for my life."

For reference, Renner’s ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, previously accused Renner of drug use and domestic violence. Specifically, she claimed that Renner threatened to kill her and there was at least one instance where he fired a gun in the presence of their daughter.

And then the ICEing on the cake…

Damn this washed up actor guy sure seems like a massive piece of shit - and since we’re at a he said, a-whole-bunch-of-other-people said situation - I’ll go with believing the victim and the rest of the people claiming he’s a POS and not the alleged POS himself.

Edit: more info exists now. Haven’t updated my assessment, this was based primarily on what was in the article at the time.

Zhou tells PEOPLE in a statement she included Renner in her projects “because I thought and promised to me we were in an evolving love relationship.”

That right there really discredits her claims… if she thought they were in a relationship, why would the messages be considered unsolicited by her?

Kind of seems like she got the wrong impression and then got embarrassed/defensive about it and escalated stuff.

They probably did get in text arguments, and if any of what she is saying turns out to be true, it would be nice to at least see context. The ICE comment is a weird thing to be fabricated, but I could see it being something that was either a knee-jerk reaction, or potentially blown out of proportion. Either way, would really help to see context.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Zhou said she had been “frauded by love”

As more details comes out the more Zhou’s wording sounds like a jilted lover who is overreacting to a failed relationship.

Addressing Zhou’s allegations that Renner threatened to call ICE on her, Singer alleges Zhou “had been relentlessly harassing and threatening my client with hundreds of unsolicited and unwanted messages.”

Singer knows that he will potentially need to prove evidence if this goes to court, so yeah it seems more and more like a jilted lover. That isn’t to say Renner didn’t do anything wrong, but that it is very likely that it wasn’t anything like the accusations being thrown around.

I don’t know how much of these allegations is true but I’ve always gotten weird vibes from the guy and had a strong dislike of him and his roles. Another actor like this for me was Kevin Spacey and we all see how that turned out.

He is a weird guy, but so far only weird in the normal way, it would be a surprise if there is any merit.

She already has many contradicting statements on record about it. Hard to say what actually happened so far, and we’ll only know if it’s pursued, publicly. But there is a decent chance it will go away quietly since she has already torpedoed her chances of it going in her favour. And Renner probably doesn’t want to publicly shame her, so it’ll only go to court if she really wants it to at this point.

In response to an allegation, something that doesn’t respond to the allegation at all. At least unless “she deserved it” is supposed to be a response to threatening to call ICE on a foreign born person.

“a string of unwanted / unsolicited pornographic images of himself”

So if she actually has these, he’s fucked. Might have to do a penile lineup.

Depends on the nature of those hundreds of harassing and threatening emails. If the threats and harassment are criminal, then I think ICE could actually be the correct org to call.

They really aren’t. That’s just something that racist shit stains jump to.

If someone is doing (what you think are) illegal things to you, regardless of their citizenship, you call the police, the organization that deals with enforcing the law.

And when the police actively avoid enforcing laws unless they get to hurt black males, what do you do? When it comes to stalking/harassment, the police will do nothing but ask you to fill out a form that gets put in a pile with nothing done to it. ICE will be able to do more than just warn her to stop.

Calling ICE on a person who is just living their life trying to work hard and get ahead is what racist shit stains jump to. Calling ICE on a person who is acting criminally and SHOULD have their visa revoked is a viable option.

Now, I haven’t read the texts or heard the phone calls and have no idea if this woman was stalking him or if he is a racist jackass who is sexually harassing her. Threatening to call ICE on her might have been a real shitstain thing to do. But Immigration enforcement against non-citizens actively committing crimes is what every other country in the world does. It’s not racist just because it happens in America.

You really think one of the stars of The Avengers is lacking in resources to get a response from police? What is ICE supposed to do in this hypothetical scenario anyway? Deport her based on the word of a single individual who happens to be a celebrity?

But Immigration enforcement against non-citizens actively committing crimes is what every other country in the world does.

So in every other country in the world, immigration enforcement officers get to play judge, jury, and executioner and kick people out of the country based on their personal feelings and personal take on a situation? What nonsense.

Immigration enforcement comes AFTER someone has been convicted of a crime. ICE cannot investigate whether a crime has occurred.

Threatening to call the gestapo on anyone is a shit stain act, regardless of whether you’re legitimately angry at their actions. Don’t be a shit stain.
