He was already president of the country and got arrested by the ICC and couped by the west. The First Ivorian civil war happened under him, when the Muslim north rebelled against the Christian south and then France invaded- So not exactly good given the modern issues facing the AES.
All in all not exactly a stellar record despite being anti-west and the Pan-African movement in Ivory Coast being centred around him. He also survived it all somehow and got acquitted by the UN? I would be sceptical about him, but who knows.
Also given the hostile relationship between Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast, I kinda doubt much will be based on Sankara’s legacy.
