If a filter hasn’t caught an issue in the last 100 transfers, it is removed (not commented out, they use “git” to catch those issues.) Eventually issues happen, but that is why they have defense in depth and so many red shirts.

The Federation doesn’t tell you this, but a redundant backup is stored in the buffer for 24hrs just in case of delayed liquifaction.
