On Tuesday, Japan’s parliament installed Sanae Takaichi, the new leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), as prime minister. The elevation to power of this ultra-nationalist, pro-war figure comes with a new ruling coalition that is rapidly pushing establishment politics even further to the right.
It is so cursed that a lot of first women leader of a country is a chud. Thatcher, Çiller, Meloni and now Takaichi.

You’re right it doesn’t say anything at all about women, but it doesn’t say anything about the average human as being a chud either. All it says is that in liberal “democracies” the only individuals who are allowed to rule are the ones who will put the bourgeois class interests first. It doesn’t matter if the average human is a chud, a lib, a social democrat, or a commie - no one elected is getting that power if they aren’t sufficiently sycophants of capital.
I don’t think it’s much of a coincidence. Seems fairly certain a woman has to be extra fascist to be forgiven for being a woman by the very misogynistic bourgeoisie.
It would absolutely not surprise me if the first woman president of the US ends up being some MTG-type Republican.

My two predictions for Hillary’s presidency were: 1) a new war she could “win” quickly, and 2) a new social program to put her name on. You could just tell that she wanted to go into the history books.
