They include Safari in this. Passwords aren’t stored in Safari. And, you can’t access them in Safari without authenticating. This is a shit article and sounds like an ad. They only mention commercial alternatives Proton and, briefly, Nord. No mention of KeePass, for example.
The vulnerability they lament requires having access to the device already which means you’re screwed, anyway.
