Everyone online guessed the reveal literally the moment they saw the burned guy in the tube. The hints weren’t sprinkled, they were slapping the viewer across the face
Marie’s actions in episode 7 surprised me because I assumed she had also figured it out already.
I did appreciate Cipher complaining about Sister Sage always being right. Marie did what her character would do because she is the main character, both in the show and in her own life.
I felt like that was the in-universe way of saying, “If you already figured it out, that’s ok, you were supposed to.”
Seriously this series are nothing but oblivious. That’s ok it’s serve it’s propos
But : fuck does the TV journalist are dumb
I suppose they’ll hand wave away the self flagellation as self-hate? “I’m so stupid! I’m worthless in this broken body!”
Whatever. I don’t expect much out of these shows–or any entertainment, now that I think about it.
This has been my approach with all popular media for years tbh, and I think it’s the right one. Managed expectations greatly reducing otherwise inevitable disappointment. It’s ok to enjoy trash too I think. I just wish trash wasn’t the overwhelming majority. Oh well, ho-de-hum.
I think they were suggesting some kind of neurological issue. When he was talking to the diaper kid outside he said something like he could feel things again after only feeling pain for so long.
I guessed cypher was a slave once Marie sensed he had no V. All the dots slammed together in my head then. I was i told you so-ing so hard when the kids were like “we gotta go, that’s cypher!”
