Not buying it when it’s built in America. This is a solved conundrum; we just need to hold the line.

Asked what will happen to the Brampton plant, a spokesperson for Stellantis said, “Canada is very important to us. We have plans for Brampton and will share them upon further discussions with the Canadian government.”

According to the article they still plan to use it, but it certainly sounds like they’re fishing for subsidies.

Update Canada’s fuel efficiency and safety regulations in line with the rest of the world and become part of the international vehicle market, instead of the US market.

Don’t ban it, just don’t buy it. Trump can push back on counter-tariffs and bans, but he can’t do much about consumer choice. If something is made in the US, it falls right to the bottom of my list.

True, but we are fucking back. Carney doesn’t have to impose counter-tariffs because the travel boycott and the ‘don’t buy american’ movements are yielding better results. I won’t buy a car that is made in the USA, that’s for sure.
