Not buying it when it’s built in America. This is a solved conundrum; we just need to hold the line.
With this particular brand, I don’t care where they are made, I’m not touching them.
You know Ford would sooner remove the made in America label than stop sucking the orange knob.
I bet BYD would like to buy the factory.
Asked what will happen to the Brampton plant, a spokesperson for Stellantis said, “Canada is very important to us. We have plans for Brampton and will share them upon further discussions with the Canadian government.”
According to the article they still plan to use it, but it certainly sounds like they’re fishing for subsidies.
How much does each one of these low skilled jobs cost us in subsidies.
Seems like they need new subsidies like every other year at this point.
Yup. To hell with them.
Ban the sale of the vehicle in Canada.
Update Canada’s fuel efficiency and safety regulations in line with the rest of the world and become part of the international vehicle market, instead of the US market.
Don’t ban it, just don’t buy it. Trump can push back on counter-tariffs and bans, but he can’t do much about consumer choice. If something is made in the US, it falls right to the bottom of my list.
We are getting fucked by Trump.
True, but we are fucking back. Carney doesn’t have to impose counter-tariffs because the travel boycott and the ‘don’t buy american’ movements are yielding better results. I won’t buy a car that is made in the USA, that’s for sure.
