My name is Soliman, and I live with my family in Khan Younis – Al-Mawasi – South Gaza.

We are a simple, kind family — my father Ayman, my brother Mohammad, and my sister Montaha.

Before the war, our life was humble but full of hope.

We had a small home surrounded by our farm — green trees, a water well, and solar panels that gave us light when the world around us was dark.

But everything changed.

One day, the sky rained fire.

Our home — the place that held all our memories — was destroyed.

Our farm — our only source of life — was wiped out.

The solar panels and the water well that sustained us — gone.

Now, we live under makeshift tents in Al-Mawasi, holding onto each other, trying to survive every single day.

We lost our shelter, our land, our tools — but not our hope.

What hurts most isn’t just losing things — it’s seeing my family’s faces, trying to stay strong despite the pain.

My little sister Montaha dreams of going back to school.

My father, once proud of his work, now feels helpless looking at what remains of our farm.

And I… I try to stay strong for them, but some nights, it’s hard to breathe.

Still, we believe in kindness.

We believe that people across the world, even those we have never met, have hearts big enough to care.
