I guess Canada Post is correct to relax the strike to appease people like that, but I’m disappointed that they feel the need to. Y’all need to suck it up and attribute the blame where it belongs: on the government for failing to capitulate to the workers’ demands.
It’s not Canada Post relaxing the strike, it’s CUPW (the postal workers union). The reason they’re doing this (IMO) is that they don’t want to cause a huge mail backlog going into the holiday season. They are afraid of turning the public against them.
Also many of the workers were unhappy with the way the strike unfolded and there was some disagreement amongst the members - solidarity within the union was either lacking or waning.
A billion+ dollars in the red every coming year and potentially dropping the ball at Christmas? I can already hear the Conservatives foaming at the mouth for more privatization of the public sector.
There are public services that should benefit them and them only. These should be free.
(Roads seem to be the most important among conservatives in my neck of the woods)
Public services that don’t serve them specifically should be done away with.
(Public healthcare, education, transport)
Anything else seems to them to be a waste of “my money”.
They are the most selfish, ignorant buffoons imaginable. They say they just want to be left alone, yet they barge into public forums and bitch all the time.
It’s like “well fine, why are you even here to begin with if you don’t want to interact with other people? Just fuck off and live your own life far away from the rest of us. We have a society to run here.”

Conservatives seem to think one of two things:
There are public services that should benefit them and them only. These should be free. (Roads seem to be the most important among conservatives in my neck of the woods)
