an ambassador to france feels like a very random target in relation to that tbh, and he doesn’t seem like he was very important to the current government, being minister of police during a massacre

Probably less something to gain and more to send a message and out of some measure of frustration, especially given France is among the countries planning to acknowledge a Palestinian state (if that’s still happening, or has happened)

Yeah, which would make him more ideal to assassinate. It sends a message to the rest of the SA ambassadors without interfering too much or being overtly obvious as to the motivation.
