That includes discussions between the U.S. and Venezuela through Middle Eastern leaders serving as intermediaries, NBC News has learned. According to a senior administration official, Maduro has spoken to those intermediaries about concessions he would be willing to make to remain in power. The senior administration official would not specify which countries are acting as intermediaries beyond saying that they are allies.

All of which are death kneels to the bolivarian revolution. Neoliberalism enables right wing parties to gain influence, US bases are extremely hard to remove once set and will be a constant source of subversion and espionage, severing ties with either Russia and China will isolate Venezuela from key military and economic allies.

US MSM always frames these as concessions that the other party must make (so that they can be blamed later and manufacture all the consent they need from the western settler class), so it seems that war is inevitable at this point and Venezuela is trying to draw out the process as much as possible in order to prepare and the US is doing the same as well.
