Don’t fall for the multitester. It advertises 28 ranges, but only 7 of the ranges are available at launch. The rest are DLC planned for 2035, according to the Kickstarter, and Lord knows if we’ll ever see them.
Really, though, I love Radio Shack. Literally have a t-shirt. If you have anything Radio Shack branded still in box, it sells like hotcakes.
Edit: Remembered I actually have two t-shirts.
Fuck, I miss Radio Shack. Since they’ve closed I have to order every electronics component online.
MicroCenter is sort of like RadioShack if you have one near you
At least Mouser and Digikey still exist.
There are still a few locations left in the world, and I believe at this point they’re all privately owned “Radio Shack Authorized Reseller” locations. I know for a fact there’s one in Petersburg, West Virginia.

The rights to the Radio Shack name are owned by Unicomer Group now, and they’re the ones running the lurching husk that comprises the web site above. Their product selection seems to consist entirely of white-box Chinese radios, headphones, Bluetooth speakers, wireless charging pucks, and other sundry cheap electronics of that ilk, but all bearing the Radio Shack brand name. But they also still sell batteries, apparently.
Bet that multimeter still works too.
My dad has one that looks similar to that, and yup it still works
I had one of the those Realistic radios (in yellow) 20 years after this was printed.
Brings back many fond memories. Sure miss the original Radio Shack. That’s the exact flyer we got when I was a kid. Grew up in CT
Fox Run Mall location was closest to my house.
Was a bit of a haul, but reachable by bicycle for 70s kid
Oh man, I grew up with those intercoms on the top right.
That’s what qualified as a baby monitor. It had a lock button so it could constantly transmit.
So weird to see them again.
I’m not american so when my dad first took us to Disney world we tbought the US was so magical with all the stuff. He gave us each a portable color tv! I was such a “rich kid” with that fucking thing. Wonderful us tech
I don’t remember doing much at radio shack. I think I bought a variable resistor for a radio tuner, but that’s it
Fun fact: Tandy computers were in fact named because of Tandy leather.
I can get most of that stuff on Amazon for 2025 prices. That simple antennae would be $88 today.
