      Nah, kids don’t know what shit is called. They’ll just say the first word that seems right enough, and then it’s your problem to figure out.

      Dad absolutely rolled with it, though.

        Pretty much every word a child learns is by association and if they haven’t realized the term “brownies” refers to the color, it’s reasonable they might think it means soft, baked food.

    Yep. My kid wanted the blue one, so he said “I want the brown one” and was upset when he got the brown one.
