100% that we need reform, something the Liberals will not give us.

At some point though we have to admit that our system is less one rigged for a specific party at it’s core and more one that benefits the most established party at the time. If we all voted for a different party they would ultimately win. A huge reason why people say they won’t vote NDP is because they claim that the party “doesn’t have a chance”. If they wanted that party to win_before_ voting for them then we deserve everything we get because as a population we’re too fucking stupid for any other outcome.

Also all strategic voting does here is ratchet everything to the right and raises the stake for the following election. We decided to let it go for a while and now all we really have is the center-right and far-right. Congrats to every spineless coward who got us here and screamed loud and clear that what they want to see more of is pathetic corporate centrism.

Again, they aren’t spineless cowards when their choices are “evil” and “pretty shitty.” They are voting for what is best for them.

You can say that they have other choices, but as individuals, they really do not. Any other vote is essentially a vote for “evil”

Look what happened down south. You think those people who voted for Jill Stein are happy that trump got in?

The States have a two-party system and because in their primaries they completely fuck it up every time, including plenty of corruption from the democratic party itself, they got to where they are. This is what we need to avoid, but we’re too busy looking at our feet as we walk towards a similar fate.

That said, we aren’t in the US, we’re in Canada, in case you weren’t aware. Our biggest issue is that the NDP can get half the votes that the Liberals got in 2019 and more than them in 2021 yet we see seat splits of 157 to 24 and 160 to 25. Flip your example around, and can you imagine how many people who voted “strategically” helped cause their ridings to lose out on NDP candidates? People claim they have no chance as if the country doesn’t want them but millions upon millions do. And then today we’re still all fucking miserable, a shithead banker is in charge, and the one party that fought for us(and actually got shit done when they put a gun to the Liberals with the coalition) lost pretty much everything.

We must really hate ourselves, to constantly fall for this bullshit. Conservatives AND Liberals are suffocating this country; do you want to let it die while pretending you’re doing the right thing or do want to actually do the bare fucking minimum and vote for the party whose platform actually aligns with your views?
