Why don’t they just shoot down things that come from Belarus and Russia? Turkey did that with an Su-24 one time, and then Russia stopped fucking around with them.

I’m aware they downed a handful of drones. I’m also aware that piloted aircraft have pilots, and drones do not.

My point stands that this requires a more robust, thorough , and systematic response. Because I’m pretty sure part of the subtext from the Russian side is an attempt to test the capability and readiness of Poland’s IADS in a plausibly deniable fashion. And Russia should not be given the benefit of the doubt in this manner - these should be treated as probing attacks on a NATO member, and reacted to as such. Yes, that means article 5.

yeah i understand that the proper thing to do would be burning Alabuga to the ground, but we’re kinda not in position to do that

from what i understand, there are now tests of anti-drone systems for purpose of procurement for polish army, and today i heard there’s some kind of training of polish air defense troops by ukrainians to be set up. other than that? they reacted according to doctrine, using what they had, mobilizing allied assets available in the area, could have been worse

Susan Collins says she’s certain Russia has learned their lesson from the loss of their cheap drones, and surely will not escalate further.
