As far as I’m concerned, the recession in 2008 never truly ended. We just stopped calling it a recession because we decided it will be the new normal.

That’s basically how I’ve felt. It’s been very confusing. 2008 happened when I was a kid, so I’ve never really known what’s normal.

“Since the beginning of the year, the economy has created a paltry 600k jobs, but without the job growth in these industries, there would be zero job growth.”

If it weren’t for the jobs that were being created, there would be no new jobs.

Remember when the US fit the US’ own description of a recession and then just went “nuh uh”
