To answer your question: “Friends” was TV show from the '90ies. Don’t know what it was about though, the title doesn’t give much of a clue.
My high school buddy approached me about some vacuum bullshit.
They are people that usually enter your life in humorous or even mutually beneficial situations … but then eventually want to sell you something.

Yeah…hadn’t talked with a high school friend since I saw him at his wedding 5 years prior. I get a call out of nowhere and it was a pitch for Body by Vi. Obvious MLM. Haven’t heard from him since.
But I did cross paths with another mutual friend years later. Said he lost a lot of money with Body by Vi
