I am burnt out from tutoring chemistry, physics, math, biology and all the conceptual deficiencies of students that prevent them from understanding those things. There are only so many times that I end up having to essentially teach 10 years of math to catch up a student enough to survive the class theyre in before it takes its toll. And you do not want to know how many med students I have encountered that did not understand how to make solutions or calculate the rate medication should be given to not kill patients.
I have tutored upward of 10,000 students this last year alone by my estimate. I need to take a break.
How do you tutor 27 students a day on average?
Discord. Most of the tutoring doesnt take hours to fix. And because I tutor for free, I am not contractually obligated to waste a given amount of time if it turns out not to be necessary.
Well I can’t fucking sleep for like 8 different reasons so I’m pretty fucking miserable. How’re you.
For once I had a good night of sleep, so quite good. Usually I also have sleeping issues, so I know how you feel, it sucks
I quit Facebook this morning. That felt good. It turned my push notifications back on yesterday and also refused to remove a post by a white supremacist with a link to a podcast extolling the virtues of Hitler, so I’m done.
I’ve taken up reading a lot of poetry again and I’m on holidays this week, just staycation but at least I don’t have to go into work, I can hang out with my dogs and watch the new season of This Fool, which is absolutely excellent.
I’m so tired and have only been able to get like an hour or hour and half of sleep before I wake up and can’t get back to sleep. 😫
Have to work 10 hours today but business is usually pretty dead on Thursdays and I just got Borderlands 3 on the ol’ Switch last night so it should be an okay day 😌
Couldn’t sleep well yesterday because of some stupid things haunted in my mind.
But other than that, all good! Completed a task with unit tests, and moving to the next one! My sick colleague is back, he seems fine now!
I thought it wasn’t going to go swimming, I wasn’t really feeling energetic. But I went anyway. Super slow. No energy. But I finished my 1km. And now everything aches, the arms ache, the legs ache, the back aches. I think tomorrow I’ll just do a recuperation day and no exercise.
Congrats on exercising even though you didn’t feel like it!
Imo that’s a very good way to get used to doing it, and in turn a way to get in shape (or whatever your goal is). Keep on keeping on!
