No due process or criminal charges means that there’s pretty much no legal requirement to keep or return personal items like police normally do (TSA has been robbing travelers for years too) ICE can pretty much do what ever they want with it because the detainees aren’t able to complain or press charges.
So yeah, pretty lucrative. Gold is sky rocketing so lots of wedding rings and watches are headed to pawn shops. Nazis pretty much did the same during the holocaust.
