The first one’s biggest flaws were its bland main character and the shoddy editing. Looks like they changed things on the first issue, hopefully the second gets addressed too.
So many characters and lore already in the MK universe and they some how decided to pull out the lamest Mary Sue idea for a new lead.

They want to appeal to the bigoted white male demographic. Nothing against the lead actor himself but he plays a lot of bigot characters. Judge Dredd, a guy that goes around shooting people with impunity? Doomslayer, a guy who’s immune to the disease turning people into zombies? Skurge, a guy trying to show off for women by amassing assets? Bones, a guy who is charming and flirty with women but aloof and grumpy with men?
I’m hoping this leads Urban to getting another Dredd movie greenlit.
As much as I’d love that to happen, I don’t think it ever will.
I remember watching a video by Dredd’s producer explaining that all the investors made a loss on Dredd. Therefore any chance of a sequel was dead.
It’s biggest failed was how it was marketed. The shoved in the 3D into the title and no one knew what the hell it was.
I had a 3D TV back then and no one seemed to notice that the transfer had a flaw. Awesome film no matter how you watch it.
