It’s a full time job. Not only is there the fact you are ill and struggle so much with basic things, but there are frequent hospital appointments, managing those appointments, managing, requesting and collecting your many medications (and dealing with the side effects), benefit reassessments and fighting benefit appeals, struggling to access food and the other things you need during those times, GP appointments, which are insanely difficult and time consuming to access now, recovering from surgeries, struggling to access help, transport and advice and all sorts of other things. All while you are ill. I’m supposed to be resting but I’ve never been able to rest, having to deal with all this. And ignorant people think we sit in front of netflix, ordering off justeat and having a great time all day.
