I’m not aware of any law in Minnesota that makes this illegal but most of the protests here start, end or are entirely on state/federal government property where it is illegal to carry.
Makes sense for constitutional carry states. I’d imagine in other permit states, like Minnesota, it’s governed by the laws around permitting and carrying since they are applying restrictions rather than legalizing something that is otherwise illegal.

Might well be true. Of note, where there is such a law, they’ll generally be referring to any weapons, and not only firearms.
